Prince
Prince was one of four shepherds roaming around the Salton Sea area. A kind neighbor took him and his family in to provide a safe space. Unfortunately, none of them had been handled and were pretty close to being feral. Rescue Lyfe from Palm Springs put out a plea for fosters to help socialize and we raised our hand.
Bean
Prince was untouchable at first, but that quickly subsided. He took some time to leash train (had never done it before, and was not to fond of collars either). He now walks on a loose leash. He is neutered and up to date on all his vaccinations. He is also crate and potty trained. He is a giant goof, and has the most BEAUTIFUL eyes! Super dog friendly. He is shy towards new people, but very friendly once introduced. He is untested with small kiddos and cats.
Bean was grabbed from the West Riverside county Animal Shelter while on the euthanasia list, he was on borrowed time. He was found as a stray with a gash on his neck, emaciated to the point his back legs were wasting away, and severely dehydrated. The shelter put a drain in his wound and sewed him up. He was very fearful and avoiding people at all costs.
We brought him home and boy has this little guys personality come out, he is just too cute!!
Bean is a 7mo. to 2yr (According to the shelter, we will be getting a vet evaluation soon) Australian Cattle Dog mix (Red heeler), he is 22 pounds (just a lil guy). He is fully vaccinated, but will need to be neutered before placement. He is potty and crate trained. We are currently working on leash manners and he is doing great.
